Las Vegas – Heidi Enlow

Coach Heidi was raised in Indiana where she swam all four strokes competitively in middle school and high school. She’s a graduate from the University of Evansville with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education. She taught math for 6 years in Texas and England, but then moved to Japan where she was certified to teach Swim Life stroke development lessons. She loves being in the water – teaching, swimming, scuba diving, boating and skiing. Her other passions are working with children/adults to teach them a new skill, traveling, being outdoors, and being around her family and friends.

Coach Heidi is so passionate about teaching others to swim because she had a 3 year old cousin who was rescued from a lake not breathing. Her aunt found her face down in a pond about 5 feet from the edge of the grass. Her cousin never fully recovered and lived in a vegetative until she was 19 years old. She couldn’t walk, talk, or eat (fed through a tube in her stomach). She had issues breathing and was hospitalized many times throughout those 16 years. She was the youngest of 5 children and the ONLY daughter in the family.

Heidi believes swimming is not just a fun activity to learn, but with all the private pools here in Las Vegas (even if your child is on a play date at a friend’s house who has a pool), knowing how to swim could save your child’s life.

Some of Heidi’s certifications include:

  • Swim Life Stroke Development Technician

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard – CPR, AED, First Aid

  • Rescue Scuba Diver – Emergency O2

  • Bachelors of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education
