Addison Espy

Coach Addison learned to swim when he was 13 months old and was snorkeling

with manatees by age 2.5. Beginning with his first team tryout at age 5,

he competitively swam up until his Junior year of high school when he

placed top 16 in the 500 yard freestyle at the 2013 state competition in

North Carolina.

Addison recently finished his 3 year commitment to the US Army and is

currently serving in the Florida National Guard. He currently attends

Seminole State College to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer

Engineering. Addison previously served as a lifeguard in Okinawa, Japan and

Wheeling, Illinois where he maintained Red Cross and Ellis Lifeguard

certifications. He also taught group and private swim lessons while

lifeguarding in Illinois.

After academic study and 25 hours of in-water training, Addison is excited

to be a part of the Swim Life team teaching stroke development in the Lake

Mary/Sanford area. He specializes in beginning stroke development, stroke

refinement, swim team preparation, and racing strategy for current

competitive swimmers.
