Okinawa - Michelle Trevino

Coach Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) from Texas A&M University- Commerce and holds a Texas Teaching Certification for Early Childhood through Grade 6. Prior to training with Swim Life, she worked as a pre-toddler and toddler teacher for the Child Development Center at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. She was also a lifeguard for 7 years and taught both group and private swim lessons at the Bruce Eubanks Natatorium. Michelle has 6 years of competitive swimming experience at the middle and high school level.

She completed 45 hours of in-water training for Stroke Development and 100 hours of in-water training for Basic Training with Swim Life and as well as all academic requirement. She currently teaches private stroke development and basic training lessons for Swim Life. Michelle is from Frisco Texas and her husband is currently serving in the Air Force. They have a 3 year old son and a newborn daughter.

Michelle's Certifications include: 

  • Swim Life Stroke Development Instructor 

  • Swim Life Aquatic Education Specialist 

  • American Red Cross certified in CPR/AED
