Virginia Beach – Mindy Ambrose

Mindy Ambrose is the mother of three young boys who are full of energy and keep her very busy. All three of her boys love the water which is why Mindy has dedicated the past six years to teaching young children aquatic survival skills. In addition to teaching survival swimming, Mindy has a B.S. in Psychology and is currently working on her Masters Degree in Special Education. She loves working with children in and out of the water. Mindy spent five years as a preschool teacher and is now working in the Special Education Department at a local Virginia Beach High School.

Mindy is passionate about teaching water safety skills to young children. Despite their best efforts, parents can not be everywhere all the time and it only takes a second for a busy toddler to find himself in a situation that can be tragic. Swim lessons are important for all children and Mindy always looks forward to meeting new swimmers to have the opportunity to teach them a skill that may one day save their lives.

Mindy teaches in an indoor, heated pool at Chesapeake Bay Dive Center, 1725 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach.

Some of Mindy’s notable certificates and affiliations are:
