Keili Gorbein
Fort Walton Beach, FL
Coach Keili is a small-town-Texas native that grew up in and around water. Her mother was a swim instructor for years and instilled the importance of water safety in her from a very young age.
Keili obtained a bachelor of science degree from Tarleton State University with a major in Public Relations and Event Management, minoring in both marketing and technical writing. She then went to work in the medical field while working toward another degree in nursing. She spent her spare time traveling the world and realizing the imperativeness of drowning prevention worldwide.
Meanwhile, she married an active-duty Air Force pilot and had identical twin boys. When her twins were 16 months old she and her husband committed to enrolling them in the Swim Life program. She was amazed at their skills and became motivated to take a stand for the water safety of all children, so she decided to become a certified Swim Life instructor rather than returning to the medical field.
As a God fearing woman who is eager to fulfill God's purpose for her, she believes her calling is to make a difference in people's lives first-hand. She has a burning passion for teaching survival swimming so that children can save themselves in an aquatic emergency.
Some of Keili’s notable certificates and affiliations are:
Swim Life Aquatic Education Specialist
Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED
Bachelor of Science in Public Relations
