Before teaching as a Swim Life instructor, Wes Conley spent 13 years in water safety using it daily in his job. Recognizing the importance of knowing how to swim and being safe in the water, he took numerous courses through his job to help himself and others be aware of how to handle hazardous safety concerns and water conditions.

Wes’ daughter fell into a pool at the age of 2. Fortunately, although she was unable to swim, a family member pulled her safely to the side immediately. It was decided that swim training needed to start the next day. When Wes saw the amazing results they were getting with swim survival training, he immediately had a desire to become an instructor. When the timing was right, he made the decision to train with Swim Life. Wes’ one desire as an instructor is to make a difference for these little ones and their families.

Wes custom tailors lessons to the need of each individual student with a safe, gentle, and – of course – fun swimming experience. He teaches infants to adults, including those with disabilities. He believes everyone has the right to be safe and have fun around the water!
