Costs to train:
The fee for Swim Life instructor training is $12,000.00 USD (certified bank check or wire transfer*) if you travel and train in Central Florida or with another Certification Specialist in their community. To have a Certification Specialist travel to you, the fee is $16,000.00 and the trainee is responsible for providing a pool that's at least 86 degrees and scheduling a minimum of 16 students (ages 6 months and up) who are committed to register and attend lessons for the duration of the instructor training.
Other costs to consider in addition to the training fee and initial marketing:
Travel expenses - (airfare, meals, lodging, rental car), if you travel to us CPR and First Aid certification - this must be completed separately as Swim Life does not currently provide this certification.
Liability insurance - Swim Life will provide you with companies who have economical options for industry standard insurance.
The best news is that most of our new instructors make their initial investment back within
three months of teaching on their own!
Swim Life training is just the beginning of a lifelong learning process. Your relationship with your Certification Specialist, your mentor, other Swim Life coaches, and our corporate team will continue long after you begin to teach your own students. We are committed to each instructor's professional growth and success and are available to help with any questions or challenges that may arise during the course of your lessons.
We are only a phone call, email, private forum post, or text message away. Please let us know when you'd like to set up a call to answer any of your questions, or to review your training options.
