Makenna Wright is a Bossier City local of eight years, a former lifeguard, and a passionate advocate for water safety and swim education. Her experience in the water began in high school, where she spent several years as a lifeguard developing both her skills and a deep respect for the importance of water safety.

Teaching has always been close to Coach Makenna's heart, especially when it comes to working with children. As a mom of two (with one on the way), she understands firsthand how important it is for kids to feel confident and safe in and around water.

Her journey with Swim Life began as a parent when she enrolled her first child in lessons. After seeing the incredible progress and confidence my child gained, she knew this program was something truly special. When Swim Life's previous local instructor moved out of the country, Makenna felt a strong calling to step in and continue serving families in the Bossier City community.

With so many pools and nearby bodies of water in the area, Makenna believes swim education is not just a skill in the water; it’s an essential life skill. She's proud to help bridge that gap by providing children with the tools they need to stay safe, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the water.
