Coach Tina was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a military spouse and loves traveling the world with her family. Her husband was also born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. They have been stationed in Del Rio, TX; Panama City, FL; Oklahoma City, OK; Okinawa, Japan; and now are returning to Oklahoma City.

She has three children and while stationed in Okinawa, Japan discovered Swim Life. For a year Coach Tina watched, as a parent, as her three children excelled in the program and their love for the water grew. Coach Tina’s oldest child has grown to love the water so much, she is now on a Swim Team and competes at various events. Even with her eldest child being heavily involved in swimming, it all started with the realization that water safety is so very important. After spending a year watching the instructors teach this amazing life saving skill her passion to do the same for other parents grew.

After inquiring about becoming an instructor and being accepted, Coach Tina began the training process. Coach Tina completed over 150+ hours of in-water training to gain her certification. After completion of her certification she taught in Okinawa, Japan for over eight months. Coach Tina is now teaching in Oklahoma City. Previously Coach Tina and her family were stationed here for 5 years. She is excited to bring Swim Life to Oklahoma City and share this life saving skill with the surrounding area.
